Houndstooth Board

Hand crafted here in Glen Innes Highlands out of all Australian Wood by Doug Reynolds,  in his workshop

Poplar, Pigeonberry, Ash

29 cm long x 20 cm wide x 4 cm high plus rubber feet 1 cm

All cutting boards are finished in food grade mineral oil and a container of cutting board butter (beeswax and mineral oil) is included with each purchase. Use this when ever your board gets dry to bring it back to an as new look.

Just a little bit about the timber and how to look after it to give you many years of use.

Firstly the wood used is all Australian timber: Jarrah, Tasmanian oak, Tasmanian Blackwood, Flooded Gum, Iron bark, and Apple Tree, Crow’s Ash and Corkwood and others in various combinations are used. Camphor Laurel is not a native to Australia but is sourced from Australia.  The glue used is food safe Titebond 3 that is used worldwide and is the best you can use for cutting boards etc and is approved by the US Food and Drug Administration for use with food.

Almost all wood is milled and sized by Doug and is not just bought off the shelf so to speak it is all hand made by him with many hours spent on each board to make them the best quality.

To clean your board simply wipe it down with warm soapy water and dry off immediately DO NOT SOAK IN WATER, DO NOT PUT IN DISHWASHER.
